Hi everyone, I’m Ilaria! Whether it be writing, listening, speaking or reading, I will create lessons geared to your goals and at a pace that is right for you. I'm a creative and empathetic mother tongue tutor with over 10 years of experience. I teach beginner to advanced learners who need Italian for study, work, travel or personal reasons.

Having been a student of other languages herself (English and French) Ilaria knows that mastering a foreign language can be challenging or daunting. That’s why she believes that everyone should have the chance to learn according to his/her personal strengths and needs.

Over the years she figured out that teaching is not merely a profession, it is a way of life and an inspiration. In fact, her commitment is to bring knowledge and passion into each lesson as well as focus on highly engaging and effective contents.

During the classes you will:

experience a supportive environment where making mistakes is not only ok, but boosts your learning process;

learn Italian, relax and enjoy the time spent together.

Ilaria received a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics and Foreign Languages from the University of Pisa. She also obtained a Master’s Degree in Teaching Italian as a Second Language from the University of Venice.

Before joining Easy Italian Online, she taught Italian to international students of several schools in Tuscany and created a language program for refugees and migrants of the local community.

About the lessons

Our teaching method is customized and flexible. Thanks to digital resources such as music, videos, newspaper’s articles and material from the Italian-speaking world, we’ll match your interests and help you communicate in a variety of everyday situations. In addition, we will provide you with personalized content created by us.

We strive to be more like a guide and less like an instructor so that we can discover your learning patterns and strategies. You will find a friendly and supportive environment to help you develop the necessary language skills and progress in your career, studies or for your personal enjoyment.

Before the course, we will give you a 35-minute free lesson to get to know your level, needs and expectations. This will be a chance for you to check if we’re a good fit for each other!

During the lessons we will use exercises and techniques to improve your reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. Our goal is to help you to reach fluency in Italian, especially in your areas of interest. Interactive cultural and communication activities will complement our training sessions to give you a deeper understanding of Italian language and culture. Lessons are delivered via Zoom, with an interactive whiteboard.
